IntelliGender and IntelliCeuticals giveaway

If you are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant, here's a fun giveaway for you!

IntelliGender, which most of you already know, is an early gender prediction test. I so wish that I was pregnant so I could review this. It would be so much fun! But... I'm not, so one of my lucky readers will win both the IntelliGender test and a bottle of IntelliCeuticals Conceive-Ease Flower Essence (a $62 value).

About IntelliGender:
IntelliGender's gender prediction test is basically a urine analysis. It's a lot like the at home pregnancy tests. Except for POAS, you pee in a cup. It turns green for a boy and orange for a girl.

From IntelliGender.com
"It uses first morning urine and a proprietary mix of chemicals which reacts with a combination of hormones to indicate the gender of your baby.  It can be performed as early as 10 weeks of pregnancy (six weeks from the first day of the missed period). It is an easy test to perform and provides quick results in-home so the news can be shared right away.

IntelliGender reminds all pregnant moms that seeing an obstetrician early in the pregnancy is critical for the health of the mother and the baby and should follow the advice of their physician.

You simply collect first morning urine and insert into the test vessel.  Swirl rapidly in a circular motion, place the test on a flat white surface undisturbed for minutes."

 About IntelliCeuticals Conceive-Ease Flower Essence:

The Conceive-Ease Flower Essence is a 100% natural formula that enhances fertility and helps with conception. It's made up of pomegranate, citrine gem essence, aquamarine gem essence, flowering cherry essence, pink camellia, tourmaline gem essence, and wild iris.

Also, you can follow IntelliGenders blog here

The Boys Store $25 gift card giveaway

Some of you may remember the giveaway I done back in May for The Boy's Store. I said we'd do another one and here we are!

Just for those of you who may not have entered the last giveaway, The Boy's Store is an online store that's just for boys. Here's a little of what I wrote on the last giveaway:

If you have boys, you know how incredibly hard it is to find cute clothes for them. It's impossible to find a good selection of clothes anywhere you go, especially ones that actually fit. I mean, yes, JC Penny, Sears, and Khols are alright but even they have slim pickings most of the time. I have just learned to settle on the play clothes and get the 3-5 dollar stuff and then I shop online for their good clothes. Now, there is FINALLY a store just for boys!

I recently got a chance to review some of the clothes The Boy's Store offers. Both boys received a full outfit.

Gavin, a long sleeved shirt by Dogwood and a pair of pants by CR sport.

And Gage got a long sleeved shirt and an adorable pair of corduroy pants both by Mulberribush

Please ignore all the little finger prints in the glass behind them! They find it hilarious to touch it right after I clean it. I'm not amused.

Gavin's pants were a little big (as they always are) but thankfully his came with adjusters. Gage's pants did not have adjusters but he's a chunky little guy so his stayed up! Both shirts fit very well but are just loose enough so there's plenty of growing room in them. All the clothes are excellent quality. When you buy kids clothes, most of the time you can tell they're cheap made. These are not like that at all. They feel sturdy, ya know? Which is what my active little boys need. Their clothes have to be able to take a beating (and a few mud puddles as well).

Want to win $25 worth of awesome clothes for your little dude? Here's what you need to do:

For the first entry (you know the rest won't count if this one's not done), head on over to The Boy's Store and tell me something you like and who you'll be buying for. It doesn't matter who, son, nephew, brother, friends boy, the little guy in your life.

Extra entries:

The Boys Store Gift Card Giveaway

I mean, yes, JC Penny, Sears, and Khols are alright but even they have slim pickings most of the time. I have just learned to settle on the play clothes and get the 3-5 dollar stuff and then I shop online for their good clothes. That's why I'm so thrilled to share this giveaway with you!

There is FINALLY a store just for boys. A store that has all sizes and everything is so boyish and adorable. Anything you need for your little man, The Boy's Store has got it!(That's a cheesy line I know but it's true!)

I knew I wanted to give away a gift card, something everyone could use. I had a really hard time picking a place when I was contacted by Suzanne. I had contacted her earlier to do a review and giveaway but she was completely booked so she mentioned the gift card thing. I thought that was a great idea so I bought a $20 card. She was so amazing and wonderful that instead of giving me just $20, she sent 2 $25 gift cards! I can't thank her enough for helping me out on pretty short notice. I know, I know, I should have started sooner but I got sidetracked and forgot until it was too late to get sponsors! Sooo... that means TWO lucky readers will win a gift card to the boys store. Oh, and we now have a review and giveaway set up so I will be doing one at a later date!

Ok, to win $25 worth of awesome clothes for your little dude here's what you need to do:

For the first entry (you know the rest won't count if this one's not done), head on over to The Boy's Store and tell me something you like and who you'll be buying for. It doesn't matter who, son, nephew, brother, friends boy, the little guy in your life.

Crunchy Clean detergent giveaway

Crunchy Clean is a wonderful company that makes safe, environmentally friendly, yummy scented laundry detergent. They have both cloth diaper detergent and regular laundry detergent for everyday use. It comes in a super cute, recyclable, recloseable bag.

I wash diapers about every other day. Sometimes I can get away with an extra day. Sometimes. I don't use near as many cloth diapers as I did a few months ago. I guess it's from Gage getting older and he's now able to hold it a bit longer so I don't have to change him as often. I bought a regular size bag of Crunchy Clean right before Christmas (I got an awesome Christmas tree scent) and I STILL have about a 1/4 of a bag left! I'm thinking that's a great thing but it makes me wonder if I'm washing often enough because I never thought it would last this long!

The very generous folks at Crunchy Clean is offering one of my readers a regular sized bag of detergent in their choice of scent. All the scents are perfectly ok to use with cloth diapers. I've been using it 5 months and have never had a problem. The only scent I've tried is the Christmas Tree and it's a seasonal thing so I'm a bit jealous because all of the scents sound so yummy! I want to try Baby Bee, Clothespin, and Baby Essential oil blend. Oh and of course I'm gonna have to try out Monkey Fart. That'll be the next one I get!

-Monkey Fart ---- fresh bananas and juicy grapefruit, middle notes of kiwi, juicy bubblegum, and strawberries; and a hint of vanilla
-Pink Sugar ---- fruity blend of cotton candy, lemon drops, caramel and raspberry jam
-Baby Bee ---- luscious fruits such as peaches, mandarin oranges, coconut pulp, bergamot, grapefruit, tropical guava, and tangy lemons
-Baby Bee Clean ---- citrus, honey floral with notes of toffee
-Clothespin ---- clean cotton just dried in a summer breeze
-Unscented
-Vanilla Lavender Essential Oil Blend
-Baby Essential Oil Blend ---- calming blend of essential oils for both mama and baby - lavender, chamomile, ylang ylang, orange, bergamot
-Orange Essential Oil
-Peppermint Essential Oil

And these are just the in-stock scents. They have a ton of other fabulous scents, check them all out here.

Now here's how you can win! Of course, if you just can't wait that long, go ahead and buy yourself a bag! It's very affordable compared to some other detergents out there and I'm telling you, It will last a long time! It does about 80 loads for a regular machine and 160 for a high efficiency washer.

For your first entry, go look around the site and tell me which scent you would pick if you won. Remember, this is mandatory and the other entries will not count if this one's not done first

All the ways I love you giveaway

We love books here. I read to the boys all the time and they love to come in the library and look at all their books. Gavin has even started 'reading' to Gage. He can't read yet but he knows from memorization most of the words and sometimes he makes up his own stories by looking at the pictures.

So to celebrate their birthdays, I knew I wanted to do some kind of book giveaway. I went shopping on Friday and found this little pop-up board book. It's so adorable!

It has Baby animals with their mamas that pop-up when you turn the page and says the things that mama does for the babies (another reason I wanted to get it for the giveaway since Mothers Day was yesterday).

The first page in the book says, 'Baby Giraffe asks Mama, "Do you love me a lot?" And his mama answers, "I love your every last spot!"

Now how to win this sweet book:

For your first entry, tell me what is your or your childs favorite book? Mine is The Giving Tree and the kids' is Green eggs and ham and There's a Wocket in my Pocket. You must do this one first or the other entries will not count.

What would you like to win?

So I've decided to throw in a couple gift cards for the boys' Birthday Bash next month. I'll be using my own money to purchase them so I wanted to ask you all where you want those giftcards to come from. I was thinking of getting 2 to the same store so I could have 2 winners, or would you rather have giftcards to two different stores? It's completely up to you guys, my wonderful readers! Just to give you ideas, I was thinking Target, ToysRus/BabiesRus, Starbucks, Old Navy... you can pick your favorite out of those or suggest another place I haven't thought of.

I might put some other things up too, just because I love ya! Leave me a comment with your vote.

Hoping to have a Big Birthday Bash

So next month my boys will be turning 2 and 4. I should've started this earlier but I've been so busy and it completely slipped my mind.

I see that a lot of the mom bloggers throw big birthday bashes on their blogs for their kids with giveaways and all that. I'd really LOVE to do one to celebrate the boys' birthdays. Their birthdays are only 12 days apart so I want to to it the whole 12 days between their birthdays.

The problem is, I've waited so long to try to get sponsors and I'm not real sure how to go about doing it! I've done a few reviews and giveaways and they were so much fun but this will take quite a few sponsors to make it a good one.

If you are a sponsor, I'd be so grateful if you'd sponsor my boys' birthday bash. Shoot me an email if you're interested!

If you have any ideas of how to get sponsored or tips of how to go about this whole process, I'd really like to hear from you! I need all the help I can get. Leave me a comment or email me any tips or ideas please!

Since we have moved into a bigger house, I'm throwing the boys big birthday parties here too. Before, our house was always too small to fit everyone in it! We always just did it at my moms with only our immediate family.  Now, we're having big cook-outs and inviting lots of people. We just built a fence to keep the kids out of the pond and starting to build a big playground so all the kids will have a blast at the parties! Gavin and my nephew want to go fishing so we're going to have to get some fishing poles! I wonder how hard it would be to get a boat? Like a row boat or something? Eh, I guess they'll just have to sit on the dock.

I also wanted to just combine them and do one huge party for both boys but it seemed a bit unfair to do that way right now. Maybe when they're older. Gavin's is first and if I do one party in the middle, he'll have to wait about a week for his party. Then Gage's will be too early and then when his actual birthday comes around, he won't know it because he would have already gotten all his presents. They probably wouldn't care either way but I would :)

Episencial Playful Foaming Wash Giveaway

I recently got the opportunity to try out some Episencial playful foaming wash from SproutBaby. Bath time for the boys is always fun but with the foaming hair and body wash, it was twice the fun!

Aside from the adorable packaging with artwork from Eric Carle's 'Hungry Little Caterpillar" book, the smell was so refreshing. It's a bit citrus-y (I know that's not a word, but it's the only way to describe it!) but it's a very mild scent. It's not so strong that it knocks you down kind of smell like some other scented body washes.

It's contains ingredients like organic ginko biloba, calendula extract, organic aloe, oat extract, and organic mandarin orange essential oil. When something has great ingredients like that, how could it not be wonderful?!

Buy it: You can head on over to Sproutbaby.com and pick some up for yourself or try out some of their other great baby products. Use discount code SBBL170 to get 15% off your first order.

Here's how you can win some for yourself:

First entry (you must do this one first or the others will not count):
Go to SproutBaby's website and tell me another product you would like to have.

POM Wonderful Giveaway

I was recently contacted by Kristen from POM Wonderful. She generously offered to send me some 100% pomegranate juice to try out and to use in some of my recipes.

I was very excited to give it a try. I have never actually tasted a pomegranate, though I have tried pomegranate and blueberry juice before and really liked it. I had been wanting to try some of the POM Wonderful juice for awhile and luckily Kristen stumbled upon my blog and gave me the opportunity to do so!

When I got the juice in the mail, I imagined by the looks of it that it might taste a bit like prune juice or something. I opened it up and took a sip. It really has an interesting flavor (Not at all like prune juice thankfully!). It's sweet but tart at the same time. It's very smooth and quite good actually.

Pomegranates really have some wonderful health benefits as well as being delicious! It's great for Cardiovascular health and it is packed full of antioxidants. It is very beneficial to men especially, it's excellent for prostate health and erectile function. Now, my husband wouldn't even try it, he's like a child when it comes to trying something new, but my dad tried some and liked it.

There are a lot of great, yummy looking recipes at POM Wonderful's website to try out. I want to try every one of them! I made the blushing POM holiday cheesecake. The recipe is to make your own cheesecake from scratch but I cheated and went the lazy route and bought a no bake cheesecake and made the glaze for the top. I know, I know, I'm a cheater but it still tasted awesome! It's supposed to be for a whole cheesecake but I made mine in jumbo muffin cups so it came out in perfect, single portions (well, not for me. I don't eat sweets much so one fed me, Gavin, and Gage!).

(the picture didn't make it look
very pretty but they did come
out really cute!)

Here's how I made the glaze for the top:

I took 1.5 cups of the pomegranate juice, 1/3 of a cup of granulated sugar, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch & combined them in a saucepan. You bring it to a boil then reduce the heat. You let it cook for 2 minutes, stirring the whole time. Let it cool a bit and then pour on top of the cheesecake. Easy peasy! I was pretty intimidated making the glaze. I had never done that before but it was so simple, I couldn't believe it!

I wasn't sure how it would taste but it was amazing! I think I'm going to use pomegranate glaze from now on with cheesecake instead of cherry or strawberry. It was sweet, but not too sweet. It still had just a touch of the tartness in it. I LOVED it!

I'm also planning on making these cupcakes very soon. I love all the dessert recipes on their site! I know it's corny but I gotta say it, POM Wonderful truly is Wonderful!

If you'd like to try some POM Wonderful, here's the chance to win some! The winner will receive a coupon for a free 16oz bottle of POM juice. Here's how to enter:

For the first entry, Go check out POM Wonderful's website and tell me something you learned.
(You must do this entry first or the others will not count)

Smartipants Review/Giveaway

 This giveaway is closed.

I recently received a diaper from the generous folks at Smartipants. I had heard about how wonderful they are so I couldn't wait to try it out. I was thrilled with the performance of the diaper. They truly are "Smarter than your average diaper"!

Smartipants diapers are trimmer than most cloth diapers so Gage can easily wear his normal pants over them. The way they are designed makes it so much easier to wash too. Most of my diapers are pocket diapers which I love but it can be gross pulling out the insert before you put it in the pail. You always get pee (and sometimes poo) on your hands, which is never pleasant. That for me is the worst part of using cloth. With Smartipants though there is an opening on both sides so there is no need to pull out the insert, they agitate out in the wash. No more pee fingers, YAY!

More great things about Smartipants:
  • The trimness doesn't affect the absorbency
  • I have never had a leak with Smartipants (and a 19 month old boy can pee a diaper full in no time)
  • The opening for the insert is nice and wide, making it easier to stuff.
  • The fit is very snug
  • The price of these diapers is amazing. $14.95 for a single diaper and $39.95 for a 3 pack makes Smartipants a very economical choice when considering cloth. Most diapers are around $20-$25.
  • The 3 packs come in color coordinated combinations.  You can get a set for girls, boys or gender neutral. I think that is great if you're buying them as a gift.

The only thing I would change if I could would be the color selection. The colors they have are great. My favorite is the green, but I would like to see more colors. Maybe a bit more bold like red, orange, or black, prints would be awesome too!

Now let's get down to the fun part. Smartipants is so kind to offer one of these amazing diapers to one of my readers. If you can't wait that long to try one, head on over to their website and buy 1, or maybe even 3!

Here's how you can win:

    Rockin Green Giveaway

I've used Rockin Green detergent and I think it is wonderful for not only cloth diapers but regular laundry as well. Rockin Green is completely safe for cloth diapers and for the environment too which is always a good thing!

I also really love the fact that you can order samples before you buy a big bag of it. I've already tried the Baby Powder & the Monkey Snacks and I really liked them both.

The Monkey Snacks smells like banana Laffy Taffy but it's not a real strong scent. The baby powder is a bit stronger and it smells... well, like baby powder! It smelled like a sweet lil babies bum :)

When they came in the mail, the entire mail box smelled sooo yummy! I was sniffing the mailing bag all the way back to the house!

Here are the scents that you can choose from:

    Unscented

Fresh Linen- Blend of Lily and Jasmine. Comparable to Bath & Body Works Fresh Linen.
Baby Powder- smells like freshly powdered baby.
Cherry Almond- yummy cherries mixed with almonds. Best Seller!
Vanilla Lavender- a soft fragrance of yummy vanilla and lavender.
Monkey Snacks- A tropical blend of Banana, Coconut, Lime, Orange, Grapefruit, Bergamot, and Clove. Smells like Banana Laffy Taffy! Best Seller!
Cherry Lemonade- Blend of Cherry, Lemon, and Berry. Reminds me of a Cherry Limeade from Sonic!
Vanilla Buttercream- it’s like a cupcake without the calorie guilt! Best Seller!
    Mango Sorbet
Grape Soda- reminds me of summers as a kid

There's also 2 brand new scents to try out:

Peppermint Cocoa- This one sounds so yummy!
Pumpkin Crunch- I can't wait to try this one, I love anything pumpkin!

Another great thing about it is as yummy as the scents are, when the diapers come out of the wash, there's no scent at all. It gets rid of the stink with no lingering detergent smell.

Kim @ Rockin Green has generously offered one lucky reader a 45/90 bag of Rockin Green detergent. Trust me, once you try this stuff, you'll be hooked!

    Buy it:
Head on over to Rockingreensoap.com and get yourself a bag.
Or just give it a try with a couple samples.
    Samples cost just $2.50
    A 45/90 bag costs $13.95
    A 90/180 bag costs $22.95

    Win it:
To enter to win a 45/90 bag of Rockin Green, go to Rockingreensoap.com

    GAD Baby Diaper Review/Giveaway

Kim from Green Acre Designs recently sent me a Gad Baby diaper with a hemp insert to try out. I was secretly hoping for a black one so I was thrilled to find a black one with red micro fleece inner layer in the mail box! I've been wanting a black diaper ever since I saw these on Gad Babys website.

I love, love, love this diaper! I love the side snaps so Gage can't take it off (he really enjoys running around stark naked). I love the color selection. I really like that you can get a different colored inner than outer. Most diapers just have white inners or are the same color as the outer. I love how trim they are. They aren't bulky at all. Gage can actually wear pants over it. Usually I have to put a pair of Gavins size 3's to go over my other cloth diapers. I also really love the prices. Gad diapers are very affordable compared to most other brands. Most of the diapers are $15.95.

I was a little bit nervous trying the hemp insert. I had never used hemp before and knew that you have to prep it before you can use it. I got a lot of tips from wonderful mamas that had experience with hemp so I washed it 4 times and put it on Gage. I did actually have a leak the first time I put the diaper on him but thinking back, I think I miscounted and had only washed it 3 times! After that, I washed and dried it again and haven't had a leak since.

Here's some pictures of Gage wearing his GAD Baby diaper...
